INSPIRATION MAY 2023

Theme For The Month:
Get Started!
Today is the Perfect Day to Ignite Your Life

I was born and raised in the small town of Mishawaka, Indiana.
My father worked extremely hard to provide food and a decent living for his family.
My mother was a dreamer who believed that we, as people, can accomplish anything that we set our minds to. No goal is too large, no dream unimaginable.
To this day I feel blessed to have had parents that inspired me in countless ways... and I will always be thankful to them.

I have learned since that time that there are basically three types of people in the world;

THE GOOD - They are typically positive people by nature (although sometimes they may not appear that way to others). They build, they dream, and they do. They often commend others, teach them, and are continually lending a helping hand. They keep the world moving in a positive direction.

THE BAD - They are typically negative people by nature (although sometimes they may not appear that way to others). They are typically destroyers of things causing cancers within groups of people. They are dividers. They tear down other people and their ideas, they are nonbelievers, and they don't typically do anything that will result in a positive outcome. They slow progress and create chaos.

THE UGLY - They are typically apathetic and/or complacent. They believe that playing it safe is the best way to exist (or at least the safest. They ignore what is going on around them. They often come off as politicians or likable people because they don't make waves (which can be good). However, they often "pretend that the bad things around them do not exist... or that they can't make a difference anyway so they just go along for the ride (typically a free ride). Sometimes these people can do more harm than the bad (but that's another discussion).

While we all possess some of the 3 qualities above, I sincerely believe that most people lean more toward the good people category.

I have also found that the people that commend others, that desire to help others and attempt to make "our places" better places, are typically very inspiring people. It is those people (from the past as well as from the present), the leaders, the deep thinkers, and philosophers; those from far away... and those from my own hometown, that I dedicate this feature.

I know that there are many of you out there that are often inspired by words of wisdom.
I hope that you will enjoy this column and the messages within will encourage you, as it has me.
In the meanwhile, I hope you enjoy your life... and live it as if you only have one!
