David and Beth began their personal mission to achieve this difficult task over a decade ago. Which Came First?
The Kroas started their farm (Kroa Farm) in the very southwest border of Niles, Michigan. It started as a relatively small farm with limited resources. In fact the Kroas started by raising chickens to sell eggs. Before long the couple turned the small farm into a much larger operation, at first selling eggs to family and friends but eventually taking their products to Chicago to sale.
Due to success and commitment the couple began raising pork as well as registered Berkshires. The farm continued to grow as their customers loved the fact that the Kroas were raising the pork, beef and chickens free of GMOs and preservatives, They also refused to use growth hormones and antibiotics on their animal, which resulted in healthy animals that were healthier to consume... and much better tasting.
